A Sad Day
Well, it is time. The tree must come down today. We got it the weekend after Thanksgiving, and it has survived rather well and has been a good tree! Before we remove the ornaments and bring it back to it's original "undressed" state, I figured I would put up a picture of it for one last moment of glory. *sniff*

Us too! We put it up the weekend BEFORE Thanksiving, so its been up a long time! The outside decorations have been up 2 weeks before Thanksgiving - wanted to take advantage of the warm weekend that we had! Off to start doing it and take care of my sick family (yes everyone but me is sick - maybe the tree won't get done afterall!)
I, too, will be taking down our tree this weekend, only, unlike yours, ours folds up and will come out again next year with all it's dark green, metallic, pre-lit glory. We'll get a real one next year too, but this year we just kept it simple.

Denis, did you see the white trim in their living room??? THAT'S WHAT I WANT. And their view rocks. Let's move back to Jersey.

hey, thanks for the paint compliment carrie! It's called swiss coffee, it's from home depot. the red is spicy cayenne, and the other is pumpkin butter. all from home depot, all picked out by my awesome wife!!
The trim used to be dark stained wood, and the walls were gray wallpaper (ugh!). I'll see if I can find a picture to post.
